Ireland is one of the most nature friendly countries I have ever seen. The capital Dublin is ideal for a weekend adventure.
Our last stop on March 5, 2017 was Copenhagen; Denmark. It was overly cold, windy and rainy. My nose and ears were frozen.
On March 4, 2017, we were in the Belgian metropolis of Brussels. Since we arrived very early and didn’t sleep much, we got a cosy corner and slept for a few hours at the airport. The airport was huge and it was very busy. Later we addressed ourselves and took the bus to the city.
On March 3rd, 2017 we reached Prague, the capital of Czech Republic. Prague itself is a very beautiful and very lively city. For a weekend break, this city is extremely attractive. Especially because of the young population. We visited the whole city from top to bottom. The river Vltava, which flows completely through the middle of the city, is especially charming. In the evening we looked at the Charles Bridge. We wanted to visit the bridge in the evening, as it came more apparent through the beautiful night lighting.
The same evening we reached the capital of Latvia, Riga. Our accommodation was the Lidosta Airport, right next to Costa Coffee. The couch was so comfortable that we didn’t even look for a bed. Now if you wonder if we felt safe – yes, because a security guard kept watch all night, so we had no concerns about our suitcases. About the city, our friends reported that Riga is a very insecure city with a high crime rate and that we should take care of our stuff. However, we didn’t feel the same way.
The country that totally disappointed me – Unfortunately! The next day, on March 2nd, 2017, we landed at 8 o’clock in the morning in Kiev, Ukraine. A shuttle bus was ready for the trip to the city. With the shuttle bus we planned on going to the city centre, but to our regret, we didn’t end up in the centre. We also had to use the subway to really get to the centre. After we wanted to inquire at the counter, where or which subway we have to take – came the first shock! There were about 40 counters open none; really none of them couldn’t speak a single word English. With gestures and facial expressions we have tried to describe our situation, but we were always rejected or even ignored. The employees have just ignored us brutally.
Together with my friend Büzii we organized a 6 days – 6 countries trip. We booked our flights using the Skycanner page. The countries came about by leaving Departure – Edinburgh; Destination airport – flexible. Based on the list we have found and booked the cheapest flight to Poland, and the same match starting from Poland. Per flight 50 euros have been planned and per stay also 50 euros. Our first stop on February 28, 2017 was Warsaw, the capital of Poland. We arrived very late and stayed at the airport. Our 3 star hotel was almost three seats to lie, a socket and toilet in the immediate vicinity. A blanket we had taken from home.
is an incredibly beautiful country. Especially the capital Edinburgh has fascinated me so much. Edinburgh is an old town full of historic buildings and facilities. The city has a “touch of vintage” and gives the feeling of experiencing the history of the country. Scotland isn’t only famous for its Highlands, but also for cashmere, kilt, bagpipes and much more. As a public transport there are only buses – and believe me, you come everywhere with it.
