On March 4, 2017, we were in the Belgian metropolis of Brussels. Since we arrived very early and didn’t sleep much, we got a cosy corner and slept for a few hours at the airport. The airport was huge and it was very busy. Later we addressed ourselves and took the bus to the city.
When we asked about the centre of Brussels, they asked us “which centre?”. We knew immediately how big Brussels could be. For a good meal, the restaurant “London Brasserie” convinced us. It is by design very British and very luxuriously furnished. When we ordered our food, we were approached in the Turkish language. The owner took over the restaurant but didn’t change the name. We ate very nice and were very nicely received.
When we did a tour on the City Sightseeing bus, I realized that this city isn’t for me. It was full of many buildings, high stress and too many people. The city was confusing and a bit confused. It was more a country in a heap than a big city. The celebrities of Brussels is on the one hand the NATO headquarters; Heart of the EU, and Belgian waffles. To be honest, the waffles in Warsaw convinced me more than those from Brussels. Atomium looked very nice from the outside, but we didn’t have the opportunity to look at it from the inside. Unfortunately we couldn’t see much, because time was very short. The prices are similar compared to Germany. We had to return to the airport in time, but since we had booked a bit chaotic, we found out afterwards that our arrival airport was not the same as the departure airport =).
